This piece was actually conceived at the bar after one too many drinks. I sat…and observed my environment: passionate grown women, tipsy fellas arguing, and a drama-filled love triangle. After witnessing all these interesting stories unfold before my eyes, I asked myself, "what would happen if this entire bar was reenacted with LIVE music?" This is what took place that evening.Read More

This piece breaks down the innocent, blind eyed trust we have in the people who only want to use us to get ahead. " U N T I L W E G O D O W N " May 18, 2016 | Sofi0613 | More on General
This piece is about a leap into the unknown. It depicts a situation in which…is only knowledge of what is ordinary and habitual, the outside is so uncertain, but so attractive. Stepping out of the structure or the ordinary could be chaotic. There is a desire from everyone to escape and experience the unknown, but there is fear. There is also a concern of who will jump first, this creates confusion and tension. That first step is very desired because it represents freedom. This piece will use four trampolins. The trampolins represent what is known, the habitual. They create an ilusion of a leap into the unknown, an escape from the 'structure'. Sofia Sanchez ChoreographyRead More
