From January 1 to January 31
Want to expand your influence as a teacher? Post your video and you could be spotlighted as this month’s dancemedia.com Dance Teacher Instructional Video of the Month.
We want to see how you work. Any kind of dance instruction—demonstrating technique or combinations, rehearsal, classroom success or performances—and any kind of dance. The video should be 3 — 8 minutes long. Be sure to include commentary about what you are demonstrating.
Each month we will select a Dance Teacher Instructional Video of the Month, both Viewers’ Choice as voted by website visitors, and a special Editors Choice. The two winners for this month's contest will be announced on dancemedia.com at the beginning of next month and will win free subscriptions to Dance Teacher magazine. The Editors' Choice winner will also be featured in the magazine. Enjoy and remember to vote for your favorites!
In this somewhat cheeky video tutorial, I show those that may be newer to their bodies how to stand up a little straighter in 6 steps. The hope is to initiate conscious, healthy habits that result in non-dancers looking & feeling more confident while potentially relieving basic neck & back pain.

DanaMattThis is a tutorial for our choreography to Justin Bieber - As Long As You Love Me. We taped it after a class we taught while in NYC so that other dancers could learn it. We're really grateful for our students and since a lot of them aren't located in LA & NYC we post as often as possible.
We're working on creating a video library where dancers can learn everything from choreography, moves, and technique, to fitness, makeup tips, and industry advice. Thanks for watching :)
