"She Said" by Patricia Noworol
She Said, Patricia Noworol's first endeavor into cinematography, represents the tragic beauty of loneliness. The film follows inner thoughts of a solitary woman. Questioning one's importance in a socially chaotic world plunges this dark character into her own static world. Mirror like camera angles, movements that explore the body, and layered images suggest she is not alone, but alone with herself. Desperate reaches of the body convey a wish to escape this immutable torment. Exploring further in movement and locations she resolves her reality with one final leap. This film was the end result of a series of projects created during a Dance for the Camera class at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Dance Department. Under the direction of faculty member, Michael Cole, Dance Forms 1.0 Choreographic Program and Final Cut Pro Program were implemented.
