Save a Life
A rhythmic collision of tap and contemporary dance performed by co-choreographers Zada Cheeks and Jessica Chapuis, Save a Life presents a couple’s struggle to save their failing relationship. Both dancers reminisce about positive aspects of their mutual past and express a desire to, above all, save each other and find happiness together, only to realize over and over again the impossibility of reconciliation. This painfully recurring emotional cycle gradually allows both dancers to start to accept that, in order to save themselves, they must give up on saving each other.
