NeRvEnDiNg is acontemporary composition that explores the art of manipulation through the state of anxiety. By capturing the emotional state's simultaneous physiological and psychological control through movement, a sensation is unraveled and witnessed externally. Working from the state’s initial presence and journeying into its sporadic – roller-coaster – evolution, one clenches in tension by engaging into the varying aspects that accompany anxiety – apprehension, fear, shortness of breath, worry and panic. In contrast, an element of release and acknowledgement is the source to clarity, breaking the conditional entrapment of anxiety.
